Packing and protecting your plants during the move

First of all, we advise you to make a list of all your plants to optimize your organization. To ensure the survival of your plants, which are going to be exposed to change. You’ll need special equipment such as boxes and cartons, plastic bags to store potting soil and kraft paper to insulate them. Let your plants breathe. Don’t pile them up, and keep them upright. Then mark them “fragile” to indicate to the movers that they need to be transported with particular care. We recommend that you load your plants on the last truck so that you can take them out as a priority when you arrive at your new home.

Moving your outdoor plants

If you want to take your outdoor plants with you, you need to take a few precautions. First of all, you need to dig up your plants, taking care to keep enough root length to be able to replant them in your new garden. Next, we recommend covering the roots with moist soil and potting them.

After the move

Just like you, your plants will have to find their feet in your new home. The first step is to replant your outdoor plants as soon as possible, and water them to maintain their vitality. As for your indoor plants, we recommend that you replace them in a layout similar to that of your old home (in terms of light and humidity, for example). In the days following your move, we recommend that you keep an eye on the behavior of your plants.
