Our tips for preparing your moving boxes
Moving is synonymous with organization, and who says organization, says boxes! We give you tips around 3 simple rules to prepare them best.
Optimize
The first step is to assemble your boxes: to do this, you must fold the shutters starting with the smallest and ending with the largest. To finish, you must tape in length and width to solidify the structure. The second step is filling: you need to balance your boxes. Indeed, we do not recommend centralizing all your heavier goods together: the objective is to distribute the load.
Compact
We recommend that you pack the contents of your boxes, in order to avoid any sagging. Place the heaviest items in the bottom and the lightest on the surface, and feel free to fill gaps on the sides to stabilize your boxes during transport.
Protect
To reduce breakage during your move, we recommend that you protect your most fragile assets by wrapping them in bubble wrap or kraft paper, 100% natural and resistant bio material. You can also opt for air cushions, which save on raw materials and are just as effective.
Our complementary tips
- Start by packing the least used items into cardboard and store them in a non-blocking area.
- Store your cables in one box to find you there on the day.
- Remember to note the contents of your boxes and where they should be deposited, as well as the mention “fragile” if necessary.
- Use bags for your household linen (duvets, sheets and light items).
